ABOUT VTAC
Volunteer Together Association for Cambodia (VTAC) is a non-governmental, non-pofit organization established by a group of volunteers, Buddhist monks and friends of Wat Polangka temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The organization founded in 2024 with the purposes of improving access to education and living conditions of families in need by providing clean water wells, toilet facilities, and secure houses in rural Cambodia.
To do this local and international staff and volunteers bring their experience of areas such as agronomy, health, social policy, and education to help those affected to reintegrate into the local community and help themselves.
VTAC, in partnership with the local authorities and other NGOs, will help respond to the needs of these families to help alleviate trauma and vulnerability which are daily threats to their livelihoods. To do this we are encouraging their full participation in efforts to conserve the environment and national heritage; reduce and eliminate domestic violence, child trafficking, poverty and illiteracy in line with the policies of the Royal Government. Our most important task is to increase the opportunity for children from this area to grow up well educated and most importantly with a strong moral mind so that they can build lasting peace and prosperity in our society.
Vision
VTAC’s vision is for Cambodia to be a country with a strong and growing economy. VTAC commits to alleviating poverty in rural areas of Cambodia by improving quality of life through education and community development programs and provide volunteer services for children and families. This will be achieved through coordination, cooperation and exchange with stakeholders at all levels including families, civil society groups, government departments, NGOs, and community leaders.
Mission
